Your Driver\u2019s License<\/strong><br>Social Security uses this to verify your identity. Having it in your hand will make the process faster and smoother.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udcf1 <strong>2. Use a Phone or Tablet to Sign Up<\/strong><br>It\u2019s strongly recommended that you create your account on a <strong>smartphone or tablet<\/strong>, not a desktop.<br>Why?<br>Because the SS website may try to <strong>verify your identity using your phone<\/strong>, either by a text message or scanning your ID. This makes the process much easier and more secure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udcdd <strong>3. Save Your Login Info<\/strong><br>When you\u2019re done creating your account, save your email and password in the Notes app on your phone or any secure place.
